The first reality of Experiencing God (Henry Blackaby), is that God is always at work around you. Jesus said in John 5:17 “My Father is still working, and I am working also.” The question is not, is God always at work, the question is, are we aware of the work of God around us?

God is always at work accomplishing His sovereign will. Even when we cannot see how He is working or how His plans fit together, we can have confidence in it.

God is always at work to bring us closer to Himself. As we draw near to Him, he promises to draw near to us.

God is always at work in guiding His people. As he leads and guides He directs us toward what he wants us to do and where He wants us to go.

God is always at work in drawing people to Himself. The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. As the Gospel is proclaimed, the Holy Spirit works in hearts and brings people to saving faith.

God is always at work advancing His kingdom. As the mission is carried out, disciples are made, and churches are planted, God’s plan for the world moves forward.

My prayer is that God would give us a holy awareness of His presence and of His activity in our lives, and in the world around us!
